About Groundwork
Groundwork is built by Rodney Lunt. He's a sales and operations leader in the Australian electrical wholesale and renewable energy industries, and a current postgraduate IT student at QUT (the fuller version of that story, MBA, dropouts and restarts included, lives on GradeMap's About page, the study tool he built first). This page is about Groundwork specifically: why it exists and what it's built from.
What it's built from
Groundwork isn't a repackaged Anthropic course. The module sequence is built from how Rodney actually works with Claude day to day, real workflow, real friction points, mixed with Anthropic's own published best practice for using Claude Code well. It's explicitly not a substitute for Anthropic's own training, it's a field reference written by someone doing the work, not a course written by the vendor.
Rodney holds Anthropic's Claude Code In Action certification.
Why build it at all
"It brings me great joy being able to solve my and others' problems through building things." Groundwork is one of a handful of tools built on that basis: GradeMap for study, Chores and Rewards for the household, this one for the actual daily Claude Code workflow.
Anthropic's own resources
Groundwork is an independent project, not an official Anthropic product or course. For Anthropic's own material, see the Anthropic Academy and the Claude Code docs.
